The mag mount has a plastic casing - preventing rust appearing as seen on cheaper mounts. It also has a removable rubber boot, to help prevent scratching.
Approx 5" (125mm) diameter. Very strong for it's size.
Available in SO239 or 3/8 thread fitting.
